|Looking back, why did you decide to come to Emagination?
I originally went Emagination Computer Camps because my older sister had gone during previous summers and my father thought I would really enjoy it. When I decided to apply to be a counselor it was because I was looking into summer jobs and I wanted to contribute to the camp that made my summers so great.
|What is your fondest memory at Emagination?
I don’t know if I have one specific memory, but my favorite moments would be during the later parts of the session when campers were given more freedom to work on the things they wanted to. Seeing the projects that these kids would create even if they just started using a program a week ago would be astounding. Seeing the drive and passion that they put into making something of their own was always inspiring.
|How did Emagination prepare you for college?
Working at Emagination taught me how much hard work it takes to succeed and how great the rewards can be. The summers I worked for Emagination were the times I worked the hardest but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
|Where did you going to school and what did you study?
I went to Ohio University and studied visual communications with a specialization in Interactive media and web design.
|What advice would you give to a current Emagination Camper?
The advice I have for current campers (especially the girls) is if you like something or find it interesting learn as much as you can about it. Even if people think it’s silly or not that important it’s important to you. Learning and making new things can be the most rewarding.
